The cuteness doesn’t stop

Hi everyone… I’m forwarding you over to my book review site today for an awesome book calledΒ Dumpling CatsΒ  by Sarah Sloyer. It is a crochet book and I loved it a ton. It has easy to make patterns and the cats are so cute, you’ll be obsessed with making them. They’d be an gift for Christmas for your cat lover.

Here it is… Source: I can’t take the cuteness!!! =DΒ

Enjoy!!! See you soon everyone!!!

Happy Crafting and Happy Summer!!!

My own little project

Hi, everyone… Busy, busy, busy. I have two classes tonight. Yippee. I love my little friends. Even one invited me “over” for dinner. πŸ™‚ I wish I could go. πŸ™‚

Anyway, I wanted to give you an update on my crafting. I’m working on designing my own crochet needle case. I wanted something just for my Longer Tunsian hooks. They need a home. Since I have the needles, I thought why not try to stitch something really cool with the needles.

So far I’m making the item in two pieces. One is the pocket I will sew on. The second section will be the design for the cover. πŸ™‚ I’d like to make a separate pocket for each item, but so far I’m not sure how to do that without showing the stitching on the pattern. So I’m going to do some research right now on other patterns and how they made their pockets for each needle.

I hope you enjoy this update. Hopefully, I’ll get to post more frequently. It gives me something to look forward and to share with all my fellow crafters.

See you later.

Legend of Zelda Satchel–The completed project and the reaction

Sorry for the overdue posting. I got a really bad sinus infection. (So much for my English skills) I’m still recovering… still crafting… still teaching… But here’s the reaction of my latest project I mentioned in the previous two postings. (See the first one here, See the second on here) πŸ˜€

Wow! x45x really liked his Legend of Zelda bag. He’s gonna use it for his Lapras Pokemon water bottle. πŸ™‚ It fit perfectly in it. Β I got a super big hug for this creation. He was in total shock. That’s hard to do for a gamer, who has tons of awesome memorabilia of Β classic Nintendo characters. I always hunt for the coolest patterns. πŸ™‚

Here are some pictures of the final project:

He’s getting ready to stream, so you gotta go see all the action. Go to Twitch.tv/x45x for the latest video gaming broadcast. Tell him I sent you! I’m lovebird122107. He’ll stream until about 9pm EST tonight. πŸ™‚ Obviously he’s one of my favorite people. lol

Later, I’ll post my newest Kirby. πŸ™‚ Not one Kirby looks alike. I’m not sure how to get around that issue yet. Practice makes perfect!

Happy crafting and enjoy a little video gaming on this first day of summer!

Working on my own pattern

Hi, folks.. I finished the Legend of Zelda bag for my best friend and gamer, x45x. He hasn’t come over to get his presents yet. 😦 He’s been spending about 8 hours a day streaming all his favorite games. (Find him on Twitch after 4pm everyday) Twitch.tv/x45x

Right now, I got a slight cold, but I thought I’d drop a line or two to tell you about my latest project. Since I made the fore-mentioned bag above, I learned the Tunsian or Afghan crochet stitch. This stitch is awesome, because it is closely related to knitting. I have yet to get the hang of knitting. I tried a few weeks ago, but it was to no avail. Β Anyway, I decided I need to crochet hook case more my long tunsian needles. I’m in the process of learning a few things, but I’m going to make this really pretty case with a flower on it. I’m going to use the normal tunsian stitch, knit-stitch and, possibly the puff stitch for the flowers. I’ve drawn the items on graph paper and trying to see how I can do with this made up pattern. It’s my first made up pattern.

the next thing I’m going to make is my companies mascot, Dino the VIPKID Β dinosaur. I can’t wait to see what to do with him. I’m going to have to really think long and hard how to make him. πŸ™‚ I guess I can steal parts from Baymax and Yoshi to create him. πŸ™‚

I’ll try to post my patterns on my Ravelry page soon.

So nice to give you an update on my crafts. See you soon!

Coming up this week

Hi, folks. I have some exciting happenings this week. Along with my Etsy store, I’m also creating two other locations where you can purchase my products. On Instagram you can find my store site at Inselly.com/GabisWhatKnotsandMore and also I’m setting up another location where you can shop multiple products at once. πŸ™‚ At this another site you can also donate monies to some great charities and get some cool gifts too. πŸ™‚ This other store will be up soon. I’m in the process of working on the pictures for the products. Gotta get the right lighting. πŸ™‚

In addition, to my crocheted creatures I’m also making a pretty seed bead necklace. πŸ™‚ It’s a work in progress, but I’ll be finishing that up sometime later this week. I’ll post some pictures here and on my Instagram site for you to see. πŸ™‚ Then if it is worthy, I’ll post it for sale. πŸ™‚

Anyway, I hope you are having a great superbowl evening. And stay on the look out for my awesome products and stores. πŸ™‚

Here are my critters… :-)

I’m so happy to share with you my new critters. I posted them on Instagram for my followers, who are becoming a lot of spammers. (That is annoying!) I know it is late but I have to share these with you. I love my critters and my brother and best friend (who is in Finland I’m sure playing Smash Bros on Wii U, shout out to x45x) loved them.

Here’s Baymax.. He’s tiny and cute. Ian loved him. πŸ™‚

Then there’s bulbasaur. He’s seriously tiny. Tinier than I thought he’d be. I found the pattern on Ravelry and I want to thank Nicole’s Nerdy Knots for the pattern.

My #bulbasaur #mini #amigurumi. So happy!!! #itsforchristmas I love him he's cute…

At this point, I’m feeling pretty serious about crafting and crocheting these critters. I’ve been doing them for almost a year and I really love them. I’ve opened an Etsy store, but I don’t get many customers. I’m thinking about maybe going into town to see if the Gifted Child would be interested. Β It’s a possibly if I could sell these things I’d make big money. πŸ™‚

Let me know what you all think.
