A crafting update

Hello, everyone.. This week I’ve sign up for my TESOL course and been busy with my teaching job.   🙂 I’ve been very busy with my commission projects. If you have been following me on social media, you have seen my latest bullet bill post. I’m so happy with the way the project came out. I always hand sew the eyes.  See the image below.

Today, I’ve been working on my latest commission project. The project is based on the art work of artby_brierrose. It is called Grumpy Donny. He’s still a work in progress, but I’m getting excited because its the first time I’ve created something from an image and I’m using bulky yarn, plus creating most of the pattern myself. So far from my perspective, I love bulky yarn, although it was hard to start the magic ring. It is so soft and pretty. I’m using Bernat Baby Blanket for the project and I’m hoping to be able to learn how to embroider the face. 🙂 So cool! I’ll share the complete project later.

Twitch Creative Update:

I have been trying to stream on twitch, however, time and distractions got in the way and I have not been able to stream at this time, but I’m hoping that I can work on a schedule that will work for me and share all my new projects or items with you all. 🙂 I’m also hoping that Youtube will archive the streams, but I’m not sure how to get Twitch to archive yet. I’d like to work on a layout, which I could stream as well, but it all takes so much time for me.

I look forward to seeing you all again next week. If you are interested, please follow me on instagram above, twitter, twitch.tv/lovebird1221, and on here for more updates. Please follow this blog, as I’d love to see more followers. 🙂

I’ll see you again all soon. Happy crafting!!!

Good afternoon, Crafters!

Hi, Crafters.. I’m busy with working, working on bills and doing my side jobs, such as book reviewing. I ordered too many books to review and that has been disaster, but I’m weening down slowly. Down to 5 now, working on the load. What a mistake!!! But I’ll survive, I think.

For those that missed it, last week, although I was sick, I decided to stream on Twitch for a while  to show off my progress on my commission project- blue yoshi. I have gained 3 out of 10 followers. My goal is 10 at this point, but I decided to stop streaming temporarily because of distractions and also I hate my camera angles. I need to work on that. I’m hoping the stream can also show off some great products I use or other beauty techniques in the near future. I may even start streaming on YouTube (if I have enough devices to run it all. lol) Yeah, big ideas.

My blue yoshi is complete:

This week I’m working on another commission project. This one may take some more time; it’s a bullet bill. I’m working with a pattern that I found online through Ravelry and I do credit the creator. I just love Ravelry and I should post more of my projects on there, but the Bullet Bill is pretty big and I didn’t expect it to be. I guess I need to start creating my own patterns, but it is hard for me because mathematics has never exactly been a friend of mine.  I’ve found a software to create patterns, but my down fall has been I forgot how to read the symbols. OH NO!!! :-O I’m not sure what to do about that, except go back and study that lesson I watched so many moons ago. If I can find the time. 😀

Here’s a peak from Instagram of the progress of the project. Working on part two today. 120 more stitches. AHHHH!!

Anyway, don’t forget to follow me on wordpress via email or the follow button down below. 🙂 I appreciate the follows and any donations you give to support my endeavors, although you aren’t obligated. 🙂 Remember if you see me on stream feel free to leave me a whisper or contact me here for commission products or any ideas you’d love to share.  🙂

I hope you enjoy my updates and I’ll see you again soon.

Happy Crafting!

A blue yoshi?– Oh yes that is for sure!!!

Howdy, folks!! I don’t have pictures yet, but I’m happy to announce I have my first commission project. This is for an online friend, artbybrierrose, who is a watercolorist, artist, and painter. She has a great talent and skill. I’m always amazed at her talents. We’ve only been friends a short time, but I’ve come to learn there are nice and kind individuals out there if you find them.

I’m hoping to share with you some of the pictures of the project. So far I’ve posted a few on Instagram, as I ‘ve been waiting for my ‘special’ yarn. This will be a blue yoshi. I haven’t made a blue yoshi before, but if  you don’t know, yoshi can come in all of the colors of the rainbow. They are ‘bright’ creatures. I just love yoshi. 🙂 According to Wiki, Yoshi can be different colors due to what they eat and they are gender neutral creatures, but all lay green and white eggs (which I should really make yoshi eggs, too) 🙂

I can’t wait to share with you my latest project.

Twitch update:

I’m still wanting to be able to stream for all you fans, but time is limited and I need to try to focus on how long I want to stream and what time. As summer approaches I’m hoping I can figure out a great time. I have a few more things, I’m wanting to create for stream, such as a layout and donation channel. I’m in the process of creating a Facebook, public figure page, but you know, those Facebook algorithms are not the easiest to understand. If you aren’t connected to people that care, your pages sit in a stand still and eventually close. 😦

Before, I close, make sure you are following me on all my social platforms (twitch, twitter, instagram are my go tos), as they also help me get to test out products. 🙂 Don’t forget to follow me here on this blog as well. I update it as I can. Click the links below to follow along with me.

Update- My homemade VIPKID Dino went to China, creative stream, and donation links coming soon.

Hi, everyone it has been a hard few months for me emotionally and mentally, but I’m trying to get back to what I love- and that is to make my wonderful stuffed animals.

I have several big announcements today. So lets get started

I have say I have made a few new amigurumis in my hiatus, and I even sent one to my special student in China. Below is her picture with my creation.

I saw it in class today. How strange to see my item on the other side of the world in my student’s hand! The animal is VIPKID’s current mascot, DINO! I made him myself with several different pattern ideas. So I combined the ideas into one. I could modify the pattern just a bit more, but that was the final result.

I also have a business instagram page for all my crafts; you may want to visit this page to stay updated on my products and crafts. 🙂 I only post products and things that I sell or make on this page. Please follow.

My second announcement is that I’m not partnering with Extra Life Children’s Hospital Research team and fundraising money to help sick children that need a chance at life. Every dollar counts so please donate at this link or please click on my banner somewhere here on the homepage. I’m trying to raise $100 at this time. This now leaves me to the biggest announcement of the day!!!

Beginning soon, once I get the swing of my equipment and picking a good time and place, I will be posting and going live on twitch creative and also posting past broadcasts on YouTube (link posted soon). There you will be able to watch me create items LIVE. You can visit stream at any time and donate via the papal button (which will be updated soon on the page). Once you donate $15 on stream, I will give a part of the proceeds to Extra Life for Children’s Research. I’m very anxious to get started on this new concept and idea.  I hope to see you on stream soon.

Don’t forget I do sell some of my crafts online at my etsy store. So don’t forget to follow and check that out. 🙂

Like I told you.. I lot of things have been going for me, even though I’ve been struggling mentally, but I’m anxious to see where all this goes.

As always, keep crafting, and I’ll see you again very soon. 🙂

Sad update..

Hi, everyone. I have some sad news to share. I don’t think I’ll be able to make any more crafts for a while. My inspiration has sort of hit a major block.  I hope that I can share my creations with you again someday soon.

For now, keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I need them. But before I go, I want to say Thank you to gamer Rya’Kya the Dragon (discord number #9999) . He’s my best friend and has always been an inspiration to me through out the years.  All the things you see on here stemmed from his suggestion a couple of years ago. He always has wanted me to expand my horizons and reach out across the net. I’ll always support his endeavors. Please watch him Twitch.tv/x45x. Please support my friend in any way. and Please tell him I sent you along in chat or in a whisper. He’s my favorite person. While you watch, let him know that the door is always open and I send my love… 🙂

See you again someday crafty people.

Happy 2 Year Anniversary

This month marks that two years ago, I started this blog because of a college project. Today, I’m trying to manage 4 other blogs. It gets confusing sometimes. lol

I still love to post and share stuff here online of my crafts and so much more. I always think and feel I could do more but I don’t ever get the chance to do cool videos or anything in particular, but once in a while I love to share with you photos of my crafts.

I thank my followers that do follow me on here and on my social media sites. I appreciate it greatly.

Stay tuned for more awesome crafts in the coming year. I’m hoping I’ll be able to do more as I adjust to my teaching job and other things around me. 🙂

The cuteness doesn’t stop

Hi everyone… I’m forwarding you over to my book review site today for an awesome book called Dumpling Cats  by Sarah Sloyer. It is a crochet book and I loved it a ton. It has easy to make patterns and the cats are so cute, you’ll be obsessed with making them. They’d be an gift for Christmas for your cat lover.

Here it is… Source: I can’t take the cuteness!!! =D

Enjoy!!! See you soon everyone!!!

Happy Crafting and Happy Summer!!!

My own little project

Hi, everyone… Busy, busy, busy. I have two classes tonight. Yippee. I love my little friends. Even one invited me “over” for dinner. 🙂 I wish I could go. 🙂

Anyway, I wanted to give you an update on my crafting. I’m working on designing my own crochet needle case. I wanted something just for my Longer Tunsian hooks. They need a home. Since I have the needles, I thought why not try to stitch something really cool with the needles.

So far I’m making the item in two pieces. One is the pocket I will sew on. The second section will be the design for the cover. 🙂 I’d like to make a separate pocket for each item, but so far I’m not sure how to do that without showing the stitching on the pattern. So I’m going to do some research right now on other patterns and how they made their pockets for each needle.

I hope you enjoy this update. Hopefully, I’ll get to post more frequently. It gives me something to look forward and to share with all my fellow crafters.

See you later.

Legend of Zelda Satchel–The completed project and the reaction

mSorry for the overdue posting. I got a really bad sinus infection. (So much for my English skills) I’m still recovering… still crafting… still teaching… But here’s the reaction of my latest project I mentioned in the previous two postings. (See the first one here, See the second on here) 😀

Wow! x45x really liked his Legend of Zelda bag. He’s gonna use it for his Lapras Pokemon water bottle. 🙂 It fit perfectly in it.  I got a super big hug for this creation. He was in total shock. That’s hard to do for a gamer, who has tons of awesome memorabilia of  classic Nintendo characters. I’m always hunt for the coolest patterns. 🙂

Here are some pictures of the final project:

He’s getting ready to stream, so you gotta go see all the action. Go to Twitch.tv/x45x for the latest video gaming broadcast. Tell him I sent you! I’m lovebird1221. He’ll stream until about 9pm EST tonight. 🙂 Obviously he’s one of my favorite people. lol

Later, I’ll post my newest Kirby. 🙂 Not one Kirby looks alike. I’m not sure how to get around that issue yet. Practice makes perfect!

Happy crafting and enjoy a little video gaming on this first day of summer!

Working on my own pattern

Hi, folks.. I finished the Legend of Zelda bag for my best friend and gamer, x45x. He hasn’t come over to get his presents yet. 😦 He’s been spending about 8 hours a day streaming all his favorite games. (Find him on Twitch after 4pm everyday) Twitch.tv/x45x

Right now, I got a slight cold, but I thought I’d drop a line or two to tell you about my latest project. Since I made the fore-mentioned bag above, I learned the Tunsian or Afghan crochet stitch. This stitch is awesome, because it is closely related to knitting. I have yet to get the hang of knitting. I tried a few weeks ago, but it was to no avail.  Anyway, I decided I need to crochet hook case more my long tunsian needles. I’m in the process of learning a few things, but I’m going to make this really pretty case with a flower on it. I’m going to use the normal tunsian stitch, knit-stitch and, possibly the puff stitch for the flowers. I’ve drawn the items on graph paper and trying to see how I can do with this made up pattern. It’s my first made up pattern.

the next thing I’m going to make is my companies mascot, Dino the VIPKID  dinosaur. I can’t wait to see what to do with him. I’m going to have to really think long and hard how to make him. 🙂 I guess I can steal parts from Baymax and Yoshi to create him. 🙂

I’ll try to post my patterns on my Ravelry page soon.

So nice to give you an update on my crafts. See you soon!
